Cook Islands (2013)

Date of issue: September 2nd, 2013
Name of series: Entomology I, II & III
Number of arachnid related stamps in issue: 1/27

At a cost of 6.50 NZ$ (approx. 5.40 USD), this is the most expensive nominal value for an arachnid stamp ever.

The stamps from the souvenir sheet differ as they have no white borders.

The second set of the entomology series has been issued in January 2014, with similar souvenir sheet and the same quantities of stamps, but there are no arachnid stamps in it (although an isopod stamps, which are pretty uncommon). There is as well a third series (entomology III) of three high valued stamps, but strangely, instead of having nice artwork like the two first issues, only pictures were used.
