Khakassia* (2010)

Date of issue: 2010
Number of arachnid related stamps in issue: 8/8

Another one of those local/cinderella issues from a former Soviet Union territory (see also Abkhazia, Batumi and Chuvashia). For more information on Khakassia, click HERE

I am told these stamps are accepted for local postage, even within the whole of the Russian Federation.

There are eight stamps in this issue, the main theme is mushrooms. But there is a small spider in the corner. Two species have been used four times each, although the mushroom is different on each stamp.

The same artwork for the spiders can be found in the massive 40 stamps issue of 2010. That is how I was able to place an identification for these two spiders.

Also note the spider and web in the gutter of the full sheet.
